Came With the Truck

Nora found a playlist on the truck stereo and asked who made it. I told her it came with the truck. The truck is a 2009. These are the notes I am not going to say out loud.

1. The National, Slow Show. No comment.

2. Jason Isbell, Cover Me Up. Skip it if she is in the cab. It says too much and I cannot have her watching my face while it does.

3. Gillian Welch, Look at Miss Ohio. She hums it without knowing she is doing it. That is the entire reason it is on here. That is probably the reason for the whole list, if I am honest, which I am not, out loud, ever.

4. Bahamas, Lost in the Light. For the drive back from the boat when she is asleep against the window and I can look.

She is never hearing about this list. Low tide is at six.
